Staring Into Space

Where does the mind take us?

Eyes fixed in space…

                   Not here…but far away                        

Strange how

Much one’s eyes can say

…When peering into space…

With eyes  fixed fast 

To some far distant place…

Attuned perhaps… to a star

One’s mind set free to race

Who knows just where,

Why or even when we are
