Long dreadful nights

My soul so dark and cold
Eyes so wide and bold
Death is taunting my every thought
The happiness once there is now forgot
Feeling my heart racing and thoughts pacing.
I tell myself everything is Goin to be okay
Keeping these damning thoughts at bay but f**k they just won't stay away.
Tossing and turning my sleep fades away and out of site.
Morning light starts breaking thru it seems so bright.
Birds are chirping kids are yelling
What's the day have in store there's just no telling.
I'll make the best of what life throws my way
Break down some green and roll a jay,
Smoke fills my blackened lungs,feel my worries start to fade
Finally get my rest in this nest of thoughts I have made. So I take the last drag off my jay and slowly feel myself fade away
