Quick Flight

Snow has fallen

It fell late last night

The nice thing is that

It makes everything bright

But that passes quickly

When in hindsight

You recall the pain

Of getting frostbite

 

A trip to the tropics

Just a quick flight

Lying on warm sand

Would feel just right  

Palm trees and blue skies

Such a delight

Shapely babes in bikinis

Oh, what a sight

But I’m afraid snow shovelling

Will be my sad plight
