Nonsense Writing

Just a thought

I am going to free write

just let the letters form words on my screen

I am not much of a writer

but sometimes it helps, if you know what I mean?

I am not very good at writing

although, I have always been a fan of rhymes, 

I can come up with poems quickly

quickly, at the drop of a dime

I don't have a lot of skill

or perhaps I just don't have the drive

but I know some people who are phenomenal writers

One's whose writing make you feel alive

Their words you read create images 

those images are so vivid and clear

they make you feel so much emotion

whether they are filled with happiness or fear

It's like what they write move you instantly

and you don't understand how

when they read their work out loud to you

it should be followed with a bow

So I guess this poem could be directed 

to everyone in this writers cafe

and even though I feel I don't belong

I think it might bring some comfort to me 

some days

Maybe I will learn a few things,

write about what goes on in my life, 

understand what others feel and think around the world

Agree to disagree and have opinions of whats wrong and right

I am going to end this poem  now

even though it has numerous grammatical mistakes 

so please don't judge me on this piece

as I stop writing to go bake a cake!

For real I am going to go bake a cake now! Happy Friday everyone!

Don't put yourself down. Writing is a craft that one is constantly working to improve; a skill to be honed. We are always working toward perfection, and being our own harshest judge and critic, that perfection is never achieved. I liked this poem, though I get the sense you started to become embarrassed, which caused you to joke more... But that's my opinion-- I don't actually know you. Thanks for sharing, and I hope you continue to write and share with us!
