A High Chair

A High Chair

A high chair is the standard stool of draughtsmen and architects.
Its a great instrument for putting a person's ideas down into a scheme on paper.
Then again a high barstool may be more orientated to presenting new ideas in speech.
But the master of them all, the baby, sitting on a high chair for his/her meals may
not say or do anything at all, other than to burp.
For the discerning adult today, a high chair near the study table brings an added
attraction. It places his buns on a level footing with his study materials. That
may say either of two things. That the stuff he is studying is as good as the
velvety softness of his buns. Or, it is as bad as its valleys. But the important
point may be that he avoids attachment to the discoveries he encounters.
In creating such an achievement of non-attachment, he also opens the fountain of
the everlasting waters in his mind to which he applies himself with discernment
with regards to issues that only concerns his person. Otherwise what he encounters,
as the field of all possibilities, makes too much of a thing with his intellect
and he is always waiting for the next train to come before he gets on.
Everything he encounters may be divided into two categories. One is the issue of
Sivan/Sakthi or the relations between the genders. The other is the Kissass, or
the relations between people of the same sex. Thereafter he seeks to maintain a
clear balance between the two and engage them in a fair union of possibilities.
As an issue, the two combined helps us to restore leaf to limb and we realize that
it is the intrinsic quality of nature, especially with the rocks and the trees.
It is a start to a world and a life of discoveries about ourselves. It promises
a continuity of everything we feared might come to a sudden and unexpected end.
It is the fountain of life.
