Magic & Laughter

Tales of Crimrose B. Cosmo : X

Every man knows about putting his socks and underwear in some drawer and finding out later that its been switched. And when the wife says, ' its in the left drawer,' the man would virtually be swearing that he put it in the right. Yukkks! Embarrassment .... of the worst kind .... right in front of the wife .... the woman we love ... the one we hope is impressed with us .... and so forth. So what happened? Its the magic drawers.

How? Did she switch it? She says no. Did she switch it and was not aware? ..... Wow! What's that? Magic and laughter.

I'd always wished I could say more here in my writings of these tales. But a man relies on his rationality and the impression he creates of himself with his friends and will not put himself out to appear wacko. So I can't. Sorry. But I am going to attempt the closest possible .... as true as the sun shines and the rain falls on the earth .... and the fact that the tax dept. does an audit on that very year when you are hanging from your financial fingertips.

In one sentence, it a case of more things in life than meets the eye. What Hamlet's father told him about dreams, imagination and heaven. When we bring a knowing inquiry to these things, something responds to our needs and concerns and makes sure that we don't walk with the bull into the China shop.

In psychology, its called the alter ego. Oh, that's great isn't it .... now we know. My experiences with the alter ego left me entirely dissatisfied of the textbook account of the experience but it is a good place to start. I call it by many other words ..... guaman ( I made it up ), elves, ghosts, the phantom, Shin and his son Bidayah, the snake lady, the cosmic gate, the same sex intimate friend and then there's magic ... in the air and in our lives. I sought to relate to its need as well as mine.

Why embarrass me with the girl I love? It says there's a reason for it and that reason implies a greater love I have for the her ..... more ..... more than I could possibly conceive at this time. Fine! Now where's my spectacles? .... I thought I left it right here!

It's magical, I smiled through every word, and remember if you want your 'guaman' to survive bountifully, 'she's' always right. :)
