In the age that man has been through, we have relied upon the knowledge provided to us by the impulse of our immortality. We engaged that to construct our knowledge, the institutions and our societies. In bringing ourselves to rest on the laurels of our achievement, we encounter the seemingly impossible. The identity of ourselves in our mind is the exact same as that in the passions. It causes a collision and leaves us unable to form a thought.

It is a point of experience unique in our development. Much later, when we are made to understand how our own immortal nature had originally guided us through the age, do we come to understand the nature and source of our knowledge.

The issue causes quite a bruise on our egos and all that we had thought we knew about ourselves. It appears to us then that we were merely borrowing and did not as such accede to nor acquiesce to the nature and design of the life we are engaged in. Much less did we design and bring that life into manifestation on our own. Our own life feels like a stranger to us.

It ought to be pointed out that man, on average, has reached a pinnacle in his own development, sufficient to be an equal to anything in the world and quite possibly the universe. In such an event, our own mothering and baby-sitter attitudes about ourselves give way to the store of all knowledge about us and asks of us to organize, collate, catalogue, record and communicate our knowledge of ourselves.

In achieving this for ourselves, it restores to us our ego in all its health. It suggest to us that we are then truly the author and knower of our destiny and the knowledge of the immortal. That we planned it that way, for us to learn, all along. Well ... I figure I might have done that actually, now that I think of it ....
