The conscious mind views physical activity and sometimes as if in a dream figures it may well move all these physical objects at will. Zen calls it a fond illusion of the mind. What I think it means is that we are all obsessed in some way in trying to shape our own destinies. But, seriously, can we do that? How?

There's considerable literature on the God experience that attempts to speak of the power of the creative endeavor. The best I came across is a comment from Alan Watts, who said to the effect that

' God is not an old man telling everything and everyone what to do.' At my age, that might mean that many of us need to take a look again at what moving physical objects is all about.

The ladies always give the impression that they are the force behind the man in his achievements. How? Nobody knows but it makes for a polite social relation on issues. Then what is the nature of the physical in man? It may well refer to the muscle tissue and the way that we bring our mind and will to act on issues we consider important. The way Nike says it, ' Just do it.'

In comparing the physical with all the rumors of others manipulating what we do, a person ought to understand what muscle tissue relates to in our impulses. In a civil society that is obviously a socially acceptable mannerism or way of communication. Yes, the muscle tissues related to our will, will respond to it. But equally important is the purpose that is assigned to it. The mind and the passions, and sometimes passions and mind are the two pillars that guide spontaneous activity. We rely on these two poles and hope that God ( or the Alan Watts version ) is on his throne that day.

Outside of these, the rest of the clutter we encounter should be viewed for exactly what it is. A great deal of good intentions founded on magically moving the physical but cannot get up to wipe its own nose. That, in my mind is a will that is based on rigor mortis. But isn't that supposed to be dead?
