Journeys of Eros : V

"

Where sky meets sky over the equator of the earth, Eros stirs in a curious way to find himself looking at himself … perhaps a semblance, looking back at him. Its not a mirror but a living, breathing reflection of himself living a life in another part of the world. It thrills him to realize he may have come full circle on his experiences.

He encounters the experience through a gate in his mind that allows him that perception in a unique friendship among many. It comes and goes in the course of a lifetime, assuring him of the oneness of humanity and his place in it.

He also meets with other personalities. There is the mother of the world and like all mothers she brings a concern for the continued happiness of our lives. There is the Goddess, reserved, sure and charmingly nonchalant about the wonders we encounter. And then there is the courtly dancer, an

individual with verve and dash to her manner, a beautiful enchantress.

They view Eros with some nervous anxiety revealing a part of their passions that's brimming with excitability. So Eros reaches out to Flynn, the boyish individual whom mother dotes on. In doing so, he realizes that he himself has transformed from his oneness to that of Walker, a man of many journeys.

A man admires himself for having admired another man. It is the way in which the mind comes to an independent and reliable reflection of its social natures. But in a final analysis it is his private vanity that reigns over his actions. His wife would understand that and realize that such a friendship overcomes the pains of self love and aggravated self aggrandizement in their relationship.

There is much more that Eros sees in the subtle stillness of his soul. Among these he may well see the purpose of creation and the individual nature's desire to know itself. This it accomplishes in one way in the world's experience. It may be looking forward to doing more in the distant future. It is after all a field of all possibilities.
