It Came to PassA Poem by DayranMoving On
Its as if its been ages since I knew, That we toil at something, While reaching for something else, Absent minded almost, in dreams. Then someone suggests I've achieved, Something that someone thought vital, That they told to someone else, Till it became fashionably true. In concern, I reach to make it real, But find that the fashion is unrelenting, Its found its own truth of representation, Swears today its the only one that was. I smile, amused at life's whimsical tunes, That buries its attempts at the half-truth, Under even greater falsehood, and is reposed, To defend itself from injuries supposed, That would cause it grief, if exposed. Out, out, thou rehearsed defenders of fake, Let the light in to discover what I never knew. © 2012 DayranReviews
