Am I worth it?

Am I worth it?

A Poem by Death's Poet

Am I worth the trouble I make?
Is it worth it to fix the things I just break?
I'm a human wreck for Christ's sake.
Why are you still here?
Am I worth the midnight calls?
Why did you trade a good girl for a girl that always falls?
Why pick a girl like me over all these pretty dolls?
Why are you still here?
Am I worth all that stress?
I'm just a hot mess in a dress.
You're either dumb or in love I guess.
And I'm glad that you're still here.

Never give up Shadow. A very heart felt poem of expression and loss. Keep writing.

Pretty faces always fade away. It is the mental connection and the goodness of heart that matter the most. Maybe he's here because he knows that. He is definitely not dumb. Embrace his choice and be happy about it. I am sure you are worth all that.
Good one.

I really love this. Again, just so relatable. It made me feel something and it hit me right in the gut. It's very true how happy it makes us when we're such a mess but the one person you want and need is still there. It's confusing, but one of the best feelings in the world. Well done and beautifully written, as always!
