Grandma's Pearls

As you walk down the roads
That I have walked before you,
Take these my pearls of wisdom
I have learned some old and new.

Speak with kindness to those
You meet along the your path,
Use compassion in all that you do
Don't speak with anger or wrath.

Use your sense of humor instead
To defuse a situation that is tense,
Laughter is good medicine You see
You will find it's power is immense.

Reach out to others who are in need
Allow them to always keep their pride,
Dignity is vital to their self respect too
Be a friend in whom others can confide.

Let family and friends that you hold Dear
Say I love you often so they don't forget,
Remember to pray to God and thank Him
Do these things and have nothing to regret.

Remember I am so very proud of you each day
I will be here watching your whole life through,
You will always be deep inside my loving heart
Here or in heaven I will be looking out for you...[/align]
