WandererA Poem by DecentlyOkayWriterYou can't change everything
In shadows cast upon a weary face,
A tale unfolds of secrets left untold, A name discarded, lost without a trace, Yet features linger, stories still unfold. You changed your name, but couldn't change your face, A chameleon, seeking a brand new start, Yet deep within, the essence leaves no space, For masks to hide the truth within your heart. The mirror reflects a life you once knew, A past that clings, an echo of your soul, Though time may pass, it cannot undo, The chapters written, stories hold. And so you wander, searching for release, You changed your name but couldn't change your face. © 2024 DecentlyOkayWriterAuthor's Note
