sick daysA Poem by DecentlyOkayWriteraches don't seem so bad when there are warm hands
numbing, a tylenol on a rough afternoon
small and inconsequential, seemingly eyes shut tightly, ruefully dull, awful pains. . enduring, somehow it feels like forever now, but it's these days that you never remember mind filled with displeasure you hate taking sick days still, there's someone with a careful gaze you don't want to feel their salty tears so you stay in bed, wrapped in their cares aches don't seem so bad when there are warm hands
