A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

days uproot you from the garden, daffodils and roses smashed under false hopes

"
days uproot you from the garden
daffodils and roses smashed under false hopes
no birds chip, sweetness forgotten
seeds find no luxury in the sun
rays of light dig in to taunt you
the moon finds no home to dip
sand shifts easily
so impressionable, hot lies
salt lines the air for little reason
waves of gentle destruction
flowers wilt with little sobs
curt, brisk, the calls of Helios
water sinking a ship
unintentional, maybe. .
floating gets harder under weight
autumn brings no relief to summer skies
lightning crackles to welcome thunder
a cold feeling of simplicity
ice gathers across
smoke as air begrudgingly freezes
darkest skies, shut your eyes
dreary forever it seems
watercolor blurs, cold touches
with barely a pardon
