A Poem by DecentlyOkayWriter
"

still, it takes you away from it all

"
oh, where I want to be!
the picture on the postcard
swept into a drawer
still, reviewed upon maybe once a year, nostalgic

a hopeful tomorrow because you know you had today
perfect scenery, even if you've never gone there yourself
probably not quite real, just out of genuine grasp
still, quite pretty to look back on

no, I don't believe
there's no place so perfect like a postcard
false hopes hinged on photoshop
still, it takes you away from it all
