I seem to think that everything in this world can be summed up in a single sentence; a single idea.
You know as well as I do that this is not the case. Yet, I still try.
I'm starting to think that that's what a writer is for. A writer's job is to attempt the impossible.

I suppose I could just skip through the pain and anguish and take a goddamn picture.
My scribblings, my unintelligible rants, my drunken words, act as my disorganized filing cabinet. I hope, one day, I'll be able to sort through these words and retrieve something of use. As of now they're all insignificant consonants and vowels.
What do I hope to learn? What am I trying to accomplish? What's the point?
Sadly, that's for the reader to decide. My opinion does not matter here.
Your words made me think of something that was said to me long ago, "Neva, you think the answer to everything is in a book". I have found that poetry and music are personal. They mean one thing to the writer and one thing to the reader. I have had many tell me to explain my poems in a note. I refuse to do so as I think this would be stealing from the thrill of allowing someone else to use their imagination.

I'm 24. I have a cat.
*Edit:
I'm now 27. I have two cats, a lovely lady, and a little boy.
Three years is all it took to accumulate more happiness- or more sentences.
