Ode to Graduation

Graduation is deliverance,
Euphoric, unencumbering,
Graduation makes me feel like
A bird leaving its nest…
Scared, but knowing it’s for
The Best.
Without graduation,
I’d lose all motivation.
Without graduation,
My whole education
Would be for naught.
Graduation is a church filled
With people singing “Hallelujah!”
A personal messiah,
A long awaited desire!
