Save Me

So I sit here thinking
What if I just stopped caring
What if I just gave into every desire
To ignore and leave you behind?
Would you finally know I exist?
Would you think I was suddenly worth the time?

I have no idea what or who us worth my time
I have no idea where happiness is in my life
A missing chapter I'm sure will be found
But for now it feels as if I'm being beaten into the ground

I wish I could just save the sparkle in my eye
That darkness would just take a break
Even just for a day
So I can breathe again
Know that somehow I still exist
May be it's my.fault for walking into this mess
If I would have known
May be I wouldn't feel so much regret
