It is now HisA Poem by ChantelPoetry about a broken heartHe took it He took my light He kept it Now it's not as bright He was amused by it I didn't find it safe He loved to abuse it And now I'm filled with this hate He got bored with it I couldn't believe what he had done He tried to get rid of it Guess he thought we had a good run He couldn't discard it No one wanted something battered and broken He couldn't trash it Everyone gave it back, thinking it t token We were so carefree before Loving one another and leaving it at that He used to love to say I was spoken for And I wouldn't mind the loving fact He said I was his only I believed him He said he would never leave me lonely And I took it without thinking on a whim Sooner or later, it didn't feel right He loved inspecting me too much I didn't want to admit this all is over, or just might But he was accusing me of wounds and lies of the such I felt trapped, he loved it I tried to escape, to be free But he would tighten his hold bit by bit And I knew it was never meant to be He abuses it He won't give it back He keeps it Thinking it will help pick up the relationship slack I need to get it I need to move back on my feet I need to fix it! I need to make sure it still has a calming beat I've stolen it Though as it is mine, I don't think that's the case He made sure to break it Just to see the pained look on my face I'm trying to mend it But that seems nearly impossible The wall around the pieces will protect it And I'll make sure no one will be able to touch it again, as that is possible © 2013 ChantelAuthor's Note
