Evil I Am

Evil I Am

A Poem by Dennis Shanaberg

Forget the false floor in the foyer

I’d find myself a far better lawyer

Because I know everything you do,

And now I am coming after you.

I know every corner you cut n’ fake.

Oh-the heavy toll I will take.

You always have to pay the price.

You all always thought I was so very nice.

You couldn’t have been more wrong.

I am always so very wrong.

I know your secrets,

And I’m prepared to give them away.

I’m friends with skeletons

And I will tell all the things that they say.

I am the villain in sheep’s wool.

I make the rest play the fool.

I take the heat as I play it cool.

I’ve never felt my conscience pull--(me)--

From this evil I am.

Nice flow of thoughts in the poem. Never know who you are dealing with nowadays. I like the complete poem. A very good ending to a excellent poem.

Very nice poem, I'm guessing a bad experience with a lawyer? thank you for sharing.

You're quite good at the rhyming. Really should try writing song lyrics type of thing. I'm not a very good poet myself so sorry if my review isn't that helpful. I enjoyed this poem anyways :)
