Not A Word (Not One)

Not A Word (Not One)

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

poesy-4-poesy's-sake

"
Not a word ... not one
Not a single line done
Trying to write to you
Like I always do

Not a word at all
For now, I'm just stalled
I know what I must say
But can't find the way

Not a word ... not one
This is not getting done

Trying to write a love note to someone we secretly admire but cannot talk to.
The pen hovers over the paper, the heart wants to open up but is filled with fear of rejection.
The words just stay in the head, the paper blank.
And love just has no chance of getting done.

Thank you. Yes, the pen does a lot of hovering. ~Jim
