Say Something Nice Day 2025

Say Something Nice Day 2025

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

(Just keeping with the holiday spirit)

"
"You are nowhere near
as dumb as you look !"

"At least the roaches
are glad that you cook !"

"Thanks to 'Where's Waldo ?"
you've read LOTS of books !"

Damn. Being nice is
  harder than it looks.

First of all, thank you for a wonderful dose of humor to start my day. I regret that at my age I it is unlikely I will ever have the opportunity to steal and use on someone your line about cooking. There was once a time though. We went to visit my father in law who had moved in with his sister living in Texas hill country. She was the worst cook I have ever known, her meals were ghastly but she considered herself an extremely accomplished chef and would not let us cook. One morning I rose early to make coffee and when I flipped on the kitchen light I saw roaches scurrying everywhere. The living room furniture was sticky, greasy feeling because she often gave the upholstery ten second bursts of bug spray. Secondly, thanks for making me aware of a National Day I had never heard of, probably because so few people are able to honor the sentiment.

Very amusing piece here. I think I'll try verse two on my wife.

Thanks LOL. I think the Surgeon General advises against that. ~Jim
