Two Packs A Day

Two Packs A Day

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

(The time to quit is today)

"
It's not a harvest if it's borrowed
It's just a mortgage on tomorrow
Be careful, lest you harvest sorrow

You can't afford to stop tomorrow
As only today's here to borrow
So quit before you harvest sorrow

It is not easy to quit, but I managed to give up the ciggies about 17 years ago. I still long for one from time to time, but I don't give in to the temptation. Yes, the time to quit is today....absolutely. Lydi**

Thanks ! I put mine down in 2004, and I also sometimes want one (especially around meal time). ~Jim

Only way is cold turkey. I remember that back and forth before I finally quit

Thanks. Yeah, I got mine done in 2004 and it was the torture of cold turkey that worked. ~Jim
