The Last Mile (Convention)

The Last Mile (Convention)

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

a sonnet

"
I haven't convened
With the Gone in awhile
Haven't summoned the Spirits
Or walked down that last mile
To where the Dead can advise

I haven't opened the Scrolls
In so many years
Haven't gone to the Garden
To gather the tears
That the mourners leave there

I haven't convened
With the Gone for awhile
But tonight I must do so
I must walk that last mile
