Farewell Ozzy Osbourne (1948 - 2025)

Farewell Ozzy Osbourne (1948 - 2025)

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A sonnet to rock's Prince of Darkness

"
No more tears
Is what he said
And now those words
Dance in my head
Contemplating
That Ozzy's dead
Yeah, no more tears
Is what he said
But I find I'm
Crying instead

Farewell, Dark Prince
Rock Eminence
Thank you for your
Magnificence

My big brother played his music to me way, way back - have some of his records stored in my attic.. Our Josh would be sad as sad.. so guess I must climb the steps, go to the myriad of boxes and find Ozz Man as you put up ^ there and remember when I was taught how to listen to what I might not like when young but when more aware of a very special style that will outlive many, many others. Time comes from learning whatever between some of the twaddle put out in this so-called liberated day! Many thanks for your nudge, sir.

Nicely done, he will be missed. I don’t think it's wise that old rockers book farewell tours; it's just asking for trouble.

Thanks. Yeah, I last saw him on a "farewell" tour in the 90s LOL. ~Jim

I remember when Ozzy said, "I am the Prince of f****n Darkness." ...I laughed so hard. Now, it's just sad.... https://x.com/historyrock_/status/1646155636780957702

I agree my friend. Ozzie was my music of my youth. He taught us. Be free, be yourself. Ozzie will never be forgotten.
