Certainly Not Today

Certainly Not Today

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A poem about being me

"
Somewhere shortly before
The three days before today
I had loads of clean laundry
I needed to put away
And though that hasn't happened
There's one thing I can say
The piles keep growing smaller
As I draw from them each day
So I guess, in the long run
It will get done either way ...
But, certainly not today

A tribute to procrastination, something I practice day in and day out. A good writer can turn into art the most mundane little matters of life, as you have just demonstrated.

Thank you so much. I never used to be this bad at procrastinating, but now it seems permanent. ~Jim
