a deliberately obtuse poem about losing love

She never did find

That something more

That she left me

To go searching for

And I never found

Her back at my door

So, it's not too hard

To work out that score ...

Why is it easier for us to blame ourselves, when love doesn't work? It's like anything else that feels good to us, you just know when it's not right. Hard to let go. Just as hard to walk away.
