My Butterfly Cuts

My Butterfly Cuts

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

a sonnet I started in early 2006

"
My butterfly cuts
With such a gentle touch
That hurts so very much
That it's sheer ecstasy

My butterfly cuts
Without concern
For damage done in turn
She does not care, you see

My butterfly cuts
And cuts because she can
And I am but a man
Unworthy as can be

My butterfly cuts
With such a gentle touch

Your butterfly has to be a woman. I think I lived with her for a year.
