We Don't Add Up to Good

We Don't Add Up to Good

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

a poem about an old flame

"
I would run right back to you
Just as quickly as I could
If I thought for one second
That things would turn out good
But nothing good could be
At least not from you and me
As no matter what we do
We don't add up to good
And I doubt we ever could
