Insomniac Blues (Not New News)

a poem about sleep-deprivation

"Sleep ? Yeah, whatever !"

I know I'm not that clever

But it's not like I choose 

These insomniac blues

"Sleep ? Yeah, que sera !"

Therein lies the fatal flaw

But that is not new news

With insomniac blues

Where one must pay their dues

I have it and have drawn a conclusion...One of the reasons I don't fall asleep easily and sometimes at all is because time is waning at my age...and I would rather not waste it sleeping.
