The One True Prize

The One True Prize

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

a poem about eyes in dreams

"
How can I know
If these dreams are lies
If I'm unable
To see your eyes
If you will not
Remove your disguise
How can I know
Just where the truth lies
If I can't look
Into your eyes
If I cannot see
The one true prize
Before the dream dies

The eyes are the windows to the soul. If you can’t gaze into these eyes of hers in your dreams how will you ever know. A romantic mystery here Jim. Quite lovely.

Interesting idea that so often appears in romance but is seldom treated as well as this.
