Quite Slow to Forgive

Quite Slow to Forgive

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

a poem written on a New Year's Eve

"
It's not that I can't
Just live and let live
But I do tend to be
Quite slow to forgive

It's not that I have to
Lay down any lines
But when it comes to trust
It's hard to regain mine

It's not that I won't
Ever let it go
I just might someday
I really don't know

No, it's not that I can't
Just live and let live
But it does take me
Quite a while to forgive

I can forgive but when it’s right for me. The alternative just eats you up eventually, not worth the hassle. I wonder if you were pondering on a particular episode, being New Year’s Eve. To forgive or not to forgive maybe? I enjoyed your little bit of introspection here Jim.
