I'm just a friend

From the very start until the end.........I only appear as a friend...

I want to be blind

So that I wouldn’t see them together

I want to be deaf

So that I wouldn’t hear him saying “I love you” to her

 

I fall down, I want to stand up

But I’m dragged down by this pain

I want my heart to be numb

So it won’t hurt again

 

I want that day to come

The day that my heart won’t race after him

I want that time to come

the time that I won’t feel like this around him.

 

I am nothing to him

From the very beginning until the end

She’s more important to him

And I only appear as a friend

OUCH. i can really relate to this. it's a sad and gloomy poem.. :( emotions are overflowing. heartbreak is greatly felt. a very wonderfully written poem. i love it!

this is so great i really enjoyed that ...
but i think that it is the hardest thing to love some one and he doesn't feel you and he even tell you all of his love stories while feeling that you are his friend ...

Let me share this wonderful message I got from a friend here in writerscafe when I was exactly at the same situation..."Sometimes we can't change what is happening to those we deeply care about.." If you can let it go, do it...Ok, let's say DO IT even though you can't...Being so strongly in love with someone who doesn't even care about you is just fooling yourself...And expecting for nothing...Remember, sometimes, it's better to be friends if you want to save your relationship...
