Frontline of Tomorrow

Frontline of Tomorrow

A Poem by Mika

Darkness rises,
Clouding our sight "
Black flames
Consume the night.

Helplessness
Consumes the world,
Blood runs,
The innocent fall.

What’s the point in unifying
When everything is torn apart?
My heart aches,
I’m raging " a hellfire spark.

If we give a damn about today,
We will fight for the future.
For the generations yet to come "
Falling back to the past
Will only condemn us to hate.
But what if hate becomes
Our own destruction?

Meet me at the front line,
Where reality’s uncensored and raw.
The ground crumbles under our feet "
We struggle just to stand tall.

The gallows that await us
Are a long road into night.
The storm grows louder "
Will we let it ignite?

If we give a damn about today,
We will fight for the future.
For the generations yet to come "
Falling back to the past
Will only condemn us to hate.
But what if hate becomes
Our own destruction?

The innocent fall,
Staining history’s hands.
Fear binds us,
Freezing us where we stand.

Without the first step,
We’re nothing but bystanders "
Are we going to be like them?
Or rise, and fight for the future?

If we give a damn about today,
We will fight for the future.
For the generations yet to come "
Falling back to the past
Will only condemn us to hate.
But if we stand, if we rise,
We can turn back our own destruction.
