The Last Puzzle PieceA Poem by Mika
The silence you left within me,
The day you decided to walk away, Had me writing letters to you Of the life we once dreamed of. Our history imprinted in my memory, A sad scripture left without an ending. Your memory echoes in my mind, The ghost of you haunting me. I’m stuck in this unresolved torment, Left alone in darkness. Oh, what I’d give to hear you, And place the last puzzle piece In our history. It’s not hard to forget How I wished I could make you stay, But in the end, you’re the one who walked away. I stayed in the eye of the storm, Unraveling all I did wrong, Questioning myself, left in distress, Trying to convince myself I could’ve been better to you. This game of blame Is slowly deteriorating me, Breaking me into tiny pieces, Numbing my heart. I wish I could look into your eyes and say… I’m stuck in this unresolved torment, Left alone in darkness. Oh, what I’d give to hear you, And place the last puzzle piece In our history. Sometimes I think I pushed you away, Or my scars made you leave. But the bitter truth I may never find" The answers to what we used to be. Only to be left with a broken history And somehow find the way To move on from you. I’m stuck in this unresolved torment, Left alone in darkness. Oh, what I’d give to hear you, And place the last puzzle piece In our history. But now I realize… Maybe our ending Was just for the best. © 2026 MikaReviews
