Until I fall asleep.

Until I fall asleep.

A Poem by Destiny Nicole
"

Life is the nightmare, Id rather be sleep.

"
Have you ever had a nightmare
you tried your hardest to escape
Your sweating bullets and drowning in tears
You try your hardest to awake.

Then you wake up and FINALLY  it is all complete
Your deep breath, a sigh of relief,

well in my world, its a little different
I try my hardest to stay to sleep
Nightmares are heaven sent
They are fake and cant hurt me

The darkness is real,
the monsters aren't fake
I'm sweating and drowning in tears
Even when I'm awake.

I try my hardest to go to sleep,
I'd rather have the nightmare
Throw the boogeymen at me
Let the monster in the closet give me a scare.

Because life is the nightmare,
no hero on a horse
no conclusion that's fair
Just a big a*s obstetrical course
No nightmare can compare.

So tell me your nightmare
and Ill tell you my life story.
Listen to it if you dare
Because mine is very scary.

The darkness is real
and the monsters aren't fake
sweating and in tears
Put me to sleep for my sake

Scared and hopeless
cuts that are so deep
Life is the nightmare
Maybe I'm better off sleep.

Destiny Nicole
Just in case anybody is wondering, I am NOT suicidal. I literally mean laying in bed, closing my eyes and going to sleep.

I very well written poem that suprises you with the change in the middle. It was very strong and reaches out for you, very very sad. You have talent, I hope this will be true someday "Why should I want to fall asleep, when reality is better than my dreams." At least an awezome poem came out of it all! :)

Just a habit...................
This is terrorizing in many ways. It's sad and anybody going through the same might be ill or something. I mean insomnia is common nowadays. Very nicely penned, my dear. Would have been just better if you edited the spelling errors. :)
