Cannot Blame you

Cannot Blame you

A Poem by Odette
"

True story

"

He enters the room and whispers the unwanted news to the grade

we shudder as one, and moans of deep sadness fill the room

I glance around, hardly seeing through my tear filled eyes.

you have died, I mutter, left us all to suffer.

But I hardly blame you, you were not selfish,

for the pain must have been so horrific for you to take that step,

that dive.

All I can say is I miss you, miss you more than anyone could imagine.

You could have made something beautiful out of yourself, but you feared life more than death.

So I cannot blame you, only miss you.
