POEM

POEM in my opinion...

P - Pouring out the whole of the heart on paper, while writing,
O - Owning the kingdom of the skies,
E - Easing up the body like never before, while reading,
M - Making tears spill out from eyes.

Whether the tears of felicity or woe,
sometimes they begin to flow,
This is what a poem is, in my opinion,
reading it is a way to learn and grow.

While writing has never quite made me feel like I own the kingdom of the skies, I do get a charge after writing something I feel good about. That's where writing has it over athletics. You can still write a poem when you're 90, but you're probably not going to qualify for your country's olympic team.

Good one Devansh. A well thought out piece that focuses on what poetry means to you. Poetry is different for every writer ... those who are compulsive and those who are reflective. In this case It seems to be reflective. It states how you feel about poetry ... hopefully what you get from reading it as well as writing it. Poetry is probably the most personal forms of writing.
