MeA Poem by DeyeilMy first writing in quite some time, time to dust off the keyboard.
A grizzled elder in a youthful form.
Reality snaps back to fantasy, snaps back to the truth. Where do you go when you don't know the norm? How do you find yourself? When you were lost in your youth? When sense meets flights of purposeful denial, Do you find a contradiction, or a paradox? How do you keep from putting yourself on trial? When your mind wars, and your heart blocks. No, nothing wrong with the way that I live, Yes, something I can do to keep myself sane. Finally start taking, back all the things I used to give, Say all of the thoughts left locked in my brain. A journey down that lonely road, A passage through the depths inside, A way to hold, your heavy load, No place to run, no place to hide. Sleeping potential held now in stasis. Thoughts slipping through cracks in the foundation, Let hope form now, the former dark basis Of the life you will live, not the mutilation. This has all been one long, hard, endless, horrid, wonderful, and deeply personal journey. But it's always just been a love letter. From then to now, and from the old myself to the brand new ME!
