In the dawn of light!
I lost the truth and sight!
Like a disease it was my blight!
Ever appearing true and right!
It was neither a friend nor foe!

Will i hold you as gold!
When you made my dreams fold!
The young vision did grow old!
My trust is broken and confidence is stolen!
Will i consider you a friend or foe!

When you hurt me i forgave!
I encourage your deeds and dreams!
I wished you well and hoped your hands stay true!
I buried your offences in deep seas of forgotten memories!
Indeed now i know them not!
For i thought you a friend not foe!

I planted my future in your hands!
In hopes that you nourished it with love!
That you cherish it with your kindness!
That you water it with care!
That you watch it grow in patience!
For you were my friend not foe!

Until you broke my trust!
You betrayed my love!
