The Primrose PathA Poem by Diella Notsu Eret---The odious scent wafts From the bedroom floor something mixed between an undistinguished bodily fluid And a brutal liquor The bed-springs sigh as weight is shifted From left to right Bare flesh spreads across the ground A blanket of pinks and tans glass litters the floor a product of some abandoned argument A high-heel lays forgotten An unlit cigarette hangs from the lips of a tattooed face No one budges And for a moment The dilapidated scene resembles the work of a demented artist
