Spectacle Rising

I watched a documentary about the Himalayas earlier today... it inspired this... enjoy!

Magnificent rising beasts
of rock and stone
rise from the straining earth
towards the sky in a dashing
and thunderous dance of birth.
Jutting spires of creation
protruding from deep scathes
of the pulsing and writhing ground
beneath them.
Strengthening tendrils of
heavenly and pure white snow
covered summits ascend towards
the billowing and flowing silk
canopy of evanescent blue.
