Searching

Searching

A Poem by Dina

Working the night shift has its perks
For instance, the earth is much quieter.
Empty highways, no sight of a manager.
Perhaps now I can tap into my potential.

Wait, not so easy girl.
Hear that silence? It's 'bout to change your world.
Racing violently, thoughts you hate to hear.
Maybe it's time you start searching.

But, what if this method stops working?
What if the pain keeps on hurting?
what if I'm all out of places to run to?
I know you want for me, better.
I'm usually down for whatever.
But lately I've been alone and in my own world.
