Deplorable Twin SpiritsA Poem by Dina
When the sun comes up, there is chivalry.
There is ego. There are brave deeds. But when the moon comes up There is symphony And tranquility And there’s you and me What I’d do for you, I’m afraid I shouldn’t mention Goes beyond the need for redemption or repentance I think someone told me about you, up in heaven Saw a vision once, where I looked you in the eye And I asked you, “Love, how come we let this pass us by? knowing damn well, there is nothing more to life.. without you without me.. how could we?” So I reach you through a message In a bottle, in my mind If I concentrate I can hear you Talking to me Through a vine It’s electric But I can’t grip all the feelings Stuck inside So I slip away While you melt away Then our egos, they collide. © 2022 DinaReviews
