Why do I believe in you?

Because I have been exiled, like you.

I have been ridiculed, like you.

I have been scape goated, as you have.

Why do I lean on you?

Because you have paved paths where there were no exits.

Understanding in spaces where compassion ceased to exist.

They tell me my faith is wrong, and faulty.

And even when the people turn against me, you sweep into reassure me.

That’s why I pledge my faith to you my lord, because my faith comes from a place of understanding.

The sacrifices you made were not in vain

The people you tried to lead were not easy to befriend

And still, you sacrifice yourself for our sins

Today we are horned and cleansed again, as we celebrate you
