“A fiery climax approaches”

I remember Rachel did this too
She started to date Jennifer
She was convinced I was the fool
And I sat there in a deep depression
I dropped out of school
I stopped eating
I stopped participating in conversations
And I hid in the shadows
And she gloated
She kept an eye from a distance to make sure I stayed down where she left me

He taught me the ways of the stars
And he said “now go forth and create”
