It may surprise you,
but my world doesn’t revolve around people
I fall into monk like states where
I’m more focused on the ethers
I think I got married to humanity in this life time
So the competition is steeper than just one or two people
You’re not competing with the next man
But a purpose, that I must see through
And I can’t be the one who spoils you with attention
And time
And nursery rhymes
That’s why your lies, I don’t mind
Your limited time, I don’t mind
Because darling I too, have a life.
And if this is what gets us by
We’re far more doomed than I’ve realized
