The Bright OneA Poem by Dindella
The hardest thing I have found
Is that, no matter who is around, Is to say “Look at me, I am hurting.” You can see their eyes turning, But even sunshine gets swallowed by rain. Cold, turrets of tiny pains All knock, knock, knocking against oneself And the world we stand on. From the ocean shelves The current bombs, Spitting against the blackened sky, And it’s there I feel too alone to try. “You’re supposed to be the bright one." Well…. Whatever happened to that? © 2015 Dindella |
