How it feels falling in love

The ocean has always called to me
And I didn't realize until now,
you were the one singing

It takes me feet first
As I sink into the sand

You ask, "what are you waiting for?"

But you caught me too close to land
It was high tide then

Now the tide is low
When my inhibitions have been pulled by the moon
And everything feels safe and slow

I can't even remember why I stopped
I look over my shoulder
out of habit

All I see are the trees and birds and more sand
And all you sing is, "come swim with me"
